“I chose to attend the Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate program at the University of St. Thomas because I was looking for a Six Sigma program with a business perspective that I could also tie together with my knowledge in the medical field. I wanted to take a program that was reliable, respected, and incorporated personal interaction—all of which I knew St. Thomas could offer. I have a strong background in quality improvement and the program reaffirmed my belief that quality is important in all fields, no matter what business you are in.

I especially appreciated the opportunity to meet people in the quality management arena who were outside the field of medicine; this experience has allowed me to better understand the big picture of quality improvement. I felt the professors were well-versed in their areas and promoted a comfortable environment for the participants to interact. Since taking this program, I am utilizing my newfound knowledge, skills, and tools to move forward with confidence in a new position at my organization. I have already recommended the program to a manager in my organization. I encouraged her to take advantage of the opportunity to gain a different perspective as I did.”
